Making Every Contact Count Posted on 2 Jan 2019

Making Every Contact Count or MECC for short. MECC is an introduction to giving consistent, simple health messages and signposting people to services that help improve their health and wellbeing. MECC can be used in day to day conversations, helping to support staff to start positive conversations about health and wellbeing with others, whether that is a colleague or member of the public. A MECC interaction takes a matter of minutes and is not intended to add to busy workloads, rather complement existing conversations and offer an opportunity to upskill.

The training can be delivered in house to a group or individuals can attend our mixed sessions. Alternatively there is an e-learning programme which will be shortly available. All versions of the training are free of charge.

The next free mixed sessions at The Business Hub, University of Essex, Southend are

  • 21st January 2pm-4pm
  • 13th February 9.30am – 11.30am
  • 7th March 2.30pm – 4.30pm
  • 9th April 11am – 1pm
  • 17th May 2pm-4pm
