How to get to us
Bus routes: central surgery is in Southchurch Boulevard which is on the Arriva No 1 and Stephenson No 14 bus routes.
It is also a short walk away from Hamstel Road which is on the First Number 27 Bus route.
The local railway station is Southend East station which is also a short walk from where we are.

Disabled Access
The main surgery entrance has access for wheelchairs. There are no steps to any of the consulting or treatment rooms.

Out Of Hours - When The Surgery is Closed
If you need advice or need to see a doctor out of surgery hours this is available from NHS 111 – Please dial free phone number 111. You can speak in confidence to a Healthcare Professional for advice or obtain information on any NHS service. For emergency or life threatening injury please dial 999.
You can also use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk). 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

GP Out-of-hours service
Call 111 to access the GP out-of-hours service (between 6.30pm and 8.00am weekdays and all day at weekends and bank holidays).
Evening & Weekend Appointments
You can book an appointment with a health professional 6.30pm to 8.00pm on weekdays, and from 9.00am to 5.00pm on Saturdays.
An out-of-hours will not be at your regular GP surgery. When you book an appointment, you will be told where the appointment will be.
These appointments will not be available as walk-in appointments. You will need to book them in advance.
To book an out-of-hours appointment, you should contact your regular GP practice in the usual way. They will advise you on the appointments which are available, and which healthcare professional is the right person to help you.
This is not a walk in service - appointment only.

Time to Learn ... sharing good practice
This surgery and many others in the south Essex area will be closed for the whole afternoon and evening on the following dates to take part in a scheme for all practice staff to develop and update their professional skills and knowledge.
The surgery will be closed on some days from 1.00pm to 8.00am next morning due to staff training as recommended by the Department of Health.
You can access a healthcare professional during these hours by phoning our Out Of Hours service on 111 (this is a free phone number).
