You can order your prescriptions online (please register for the online service with our reception team who will give you registration details: username and password).
For more information about the online service visit our Online Services page.
You can also drop your prescription requests in writing at the surgery.
Our prescriptions are sent electronically to the NHS DataBase (Spine) where pharmacies can download them. Please nominate a pharmacy of your choice to make it easier for the pharmacy to download.
We only accept prescription requests over the phone in special circumstances for example if you are housebound.
Please allow 48 hours (two working days) notice. If you need your prescription before the weekend, we need the request by Wednesday. Requests left during the weekend will normally be ready on Tuesday after 3.00pm. Please do not make your request by telephone and do not wait until you have run out of your medication before ordering more. We will issue you prescriptions 10 days earlier than your due date, unless you have run out.
Patients may post their requests to us, together with a stamped addressed envelope for return delivery.
Please do not book an appointment with the doctor to request a repeat prescription and do not ask for a prescription for another member of your family during a consultation.
