Receptionists and Clerical Staff
Our admin team are here to help you. They may need to ask you for further details when you telephone. This is to ensure that we can assist you as speedily as possible. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as doctors and nurses.
Training Practice
Central Surgery is privileged to be a part of the NHS Doctor Training Programme. Once doctors are qualified, they undergo further training in a speciality or to become a GP, they are called registrars and are part of the teams looking after patients. The GP Registrars spend a total of 18 months training in surgeries, but not always in the same place. As a result, you may find they spend any time from 6 months to a year at any one practice. They will see patients and take part in their care in ways that are appropriate to their level of training. All doctors must continue to learn throughout their careers and keep up to date in their areas of practice.
Medical Students
Sometimes there will be a medical student working alongside the doctor. You will be told of this when you make your appointment and given the opportunity to say whether or not you wish the medical student to be present during your consultation.
