Practice Based Commissioning continues to play a vital role in health reform. It puts clinicians at the heart of Commissioning and allows groups of family doctors and community clinicians to develop better services for their local communities. Our Practice Based Commissioning Group, called Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board, includes local surgeries across Leigh, Westcliff, Southchurch, Thorpe Bay and Wakering. When your doctor feels that you need to see a consultant, you will still be referred via choose and book, but you will have a choice to attend an NHS consultant lead clinic in a private setting with easy access and trouble free parking.
